Per the reservation line, park valet at the Grand Californian hotel and the Storytellers Cafe will validate for 3 hours. Gratuity is separate. Do not park in Downtown Disney or you will pay a hefty fee...Storytellers doesn't validate there. As of December 2019.
Valet at the hotel. You can get validation at the restaurant for 4 hrs.
With all due respect to T. Rudd's previous answer, there is valet parking at the Grand Californian. I do not believe that it's free. If money isn't an issue, Grand Californian parking will be the most convenient. However, as previously stated, you can also park in Downtown Disney parking. It's free for 2 or 3 hours. You can get more time with validation, however you can't get validation at a Grand Californian restaurant. You can only get validation from Downtown Disney restaurants and bars. I would suggest that using Downtown Disney parking is better for dinner reservations especially if you'll only be there for a couple of hours. One little caveat; Downtown Disney parking is often full on weekends, especially in the evening hours. Allow yourself plenty of time.
The Valet is free at the Grand California Hotel except for any tip you want to give the gentleman for bringing back your car. Just tell them you have a reservation
You can park at Downtown Disney, or valet at the hotel. Those would be the best two options.
