How lame is Winco-they don't accept credit cards? Come on-this is the west century? Why?

I'm not sure what the "west century" is but the credit card companies charge a merchant fee of 2% to 5% depending. One of the ways WinCo offers such great pricing is by not having to pass those merchant charges on to us. WinCo does accept debt cards in addition to cash or checks.

Well, back in the “East Century” they do accept credit cards! 😂

What is " west century"

They used to from what I understand. The only reason I can think of is they've had trouble in the past. They still take debit, cash, and EBT. Did they explain why? Something to ask about.
