If you are looking for cheap buy a cat. An exotic bird if sometimes a life long commitment. They require lots of attention, special food, a strict diet and a comfortable environment. Some parrots can live 50 years.
Not sure... I have a parakeet!😊You should go to the store... they have several different kinds of parrots out of the cage in the store where you can see and hold them and check things out! 😊

Budgies would be considered the cheapest. But in that store, I don't know when they have them. Pet Smart has them for like 25/30 each. I think. The second one, would be a Cockatiel. The rest go above 200.
