Why are the checkout availability so limited? Ridiculous!! Self checkout is not always the preferred method dependent upon a personal situation with chosen items to purchase.

No they are short handed, my wife works there and they are short like 40 employees

They do seem to have employees literally everywhere... except checkout. :/
