Perhaps request a table where someone with a dog could not sit behind you.

The State Legislature in California allows for service dogs in all public eating places, inside or out. All it takes is a note from a Physician to acquire the Service Dog status . Subsequently, the Legislature ruled that service dog owners are no longer required to have "service vests" on their dogs. This puts restaurant owners in the difficult position of having to take an individuals word for it and all dog owners know this. In other words, it is up to all business owners, not just restaurants, to police the matter. CH
We like this restaurant normally, however last time not so. Patio is very crowded which is fine. However they had a guest behind us with a huge dog. German Shepard. Laying flat out behind our table. Definitely not good. If they want to allow dogs on front patio, we won't be returning any time soon. 😥👎
