No, they don't have a safety squat bar at trufit currently. There was one but someone came and apparently it was thiers. Trufit Kinston NC has one currently. There's also no monthly payment after you pay in advance for a year(wouldn't that be redundant and per aggreement?) Agreeing in advance to monthly payments is possible with a year contract and they also do month to month contracts that you can cancel at any time and you can cancel your membership at anytime for any reason. They aren't trying to keep members that won't come and that is illegal as well. It's not a complex contract and you can explain exactly what you want or don't to begin with and you can go over it until you're satisfied before you sign anything and make a payment. It's not complex and it's not a trap. It's just a gym!!! If you sign up and get injured they will want to make sure you're sure before you quit or cancel but it's up to you in the end.
Yes this is a real gym. All the equipment is heavy duty, safe and designed for hardcore lifting. As for memberships read what you sign. Everything is in black and white. I have never had any issues in 19 years there.
I'm not sure, but if you call them 8m sure they will let you know.. I personally hate the place, because I paid for a year in advance with option to renew. But they kept taking money out of my checking account.. the screwed up thing is I used my debit card & when I seen them keep stealing my money I canceled the card & got a new one.. but even doing that they can still steal your money from your account because its considered a recurring payment! What a huge Nightmare! I'm still trying to get them to stop! But they keep giving you the run around.. My advice is to forget about TrueFit!! Btw: you can Never go wrong with the YMCA.. good luck..
