I live in Portland Oregon, and heard that Tipatina was closing. My brother made the bust of Prof. Longhair, and I am concerned about what is going to happen it it , if it is true.

I haven't heard anything about it closing. Still concerts most nights of the week

Hmm dont know who told you that, but it is quite open. It has a new manager, great guy! Thank your brother for the bust, we all love it. People come into Tips and pay homage to that bust as though it is a living effigy of The Professor... Who is your brother? does he live here in New Orleans please thank him! My sister lives in Portland. I get to visit a lot, it is a Great city!
