They closed section 8 for the parish in 2013
Just stated that above, my family whom are a hard working family and never asked for food stamps nor any Government help, ever! I'm a manager at CVS health full time and over 50, my hubby, he is 54 years old he works full time. My home caught on fire from a lesko heater in February, it hasn't been a year yet but they want to demo our family home. My family lived there over 23 years, I have a daughter 25 and Granddaughter 6 whom lived with us, we are all separated and the devastated act that happened will never be forgotten in our broken hearts. Our family just received a sum of money to fix it. I received no mail no call, not even a note on my door. Shame shame on you whomever is in control over these decisions should be fired! As far as the Parish, it has never prospered but we the people in our small Parish are willing to have patience but they are willing to hurry and demo our family home in less then a year? How unhuman can one or many of our officials be? Shame is to good
