Who and what organizations own the museum...Private? County? City? What % does each party own... What are the money projects and where does the money come from on a major project... Is there a major product now in the making?

The Chaemrleston Museum is a non profit membership organization founded in 1773 as the first city museum in the colonies. It supports itself by annual fundraisers and admissions to the museum and it's two affiliate houses, the Joseph Manigault house (1803) and the Heyward Washington House (1772) as well as grant funding.

It appears to be funded by the government without information on funding. Board of trustees can be found on their website but nothing else about it.

It was originally funded by the city and has gradually been taken over by private non-profit self sustainable funds. No major projects. Please go to their website for further answers. It is the first and oldest Museum in the Western hemisphere.
