If you take an early retirement at 62, how early can I file,,,, do I have to wait until I'm 62 and 1/2? And can you still work part time once you retire?

You will receive a reduced retirement amount if you take it early, but age 62 is the earliest it can be taken. Work is permitted in early retirement. As of 2021 the max you can make is $1,580 monthly or $18,960 a year. This changes the year you obtain your full retirement age.
