There are several swimming areas. There is only 1 beach but there are other places to swim. It is dog friendly. Just be safe wear shoes and if possible water shoes many people go there and drink and litter and leave their empty bottles and cans and im absolutely sure they don't only leave them on the ground im sure they're in the water also this type of behavioe makes me sick. There are children out there walking around and swimming. Just be safe drug indicators are always everywhere it needs to stop especially because of the kids and dogs an us adults need to step up i bring a garbage bag every time

Depends on the time of the year but for the most part yes, there is a sometimes small Sandy area or grass and people usually swim there. You have to walk down the trail by the boat launch to get there though. Enjoy
