Never been searched before but in the future ? It maybe random due to patrons not following rules of lately do not know
I know most theaters have a no bag/ snacks policy. I haven't tried to bring bags for that reason. Twice I stashed diaper, wipes, and a bottle or snacks for my toddler in my coat pocket and wasn't searched.

Thank you all for the feedback. I was denied entry unless they were able to search my backpack or leave it behind.. (backpack had a bottle of water and change of clothes for my youngest kid) . I was shocked as I have never had an issue there before for that. I got my money back and the kids and I walked out. It was sad, but I felt pretty insulted. Especially as the gal with a large purse and her two kids walked in unharrased.

Yes, my daughter uses a small backpack purse. They made her leave it behind the counter. She was pretty mad. 😞
