I'm registering an out of state Carr. Do I need to go to emissions first or to DMV to register car first then to emissions??? We did not have emissions in my previous state.

Go to the Enfield DMV. Go thru the door on the right. Get a number from the "triage" (typically) lady. Be complete. If the car was "bought at auction from my step dad..." just tell the person handing out the numbers. I did security at this place. It's my favorite dmv.
