According to the Orange County Tax Collector's Office, the business tax receipt (license) is in the name of Captain D's, which is unusual for a franchisee. Captain D's has over five hundred stores in the U.S., and has a higher proportion of "corporate" to "franchise" than most. Of course, the easiest way to find out is to call during M-F normal daytime business hours and ask to speak to the GENERAL manager.
