I buy the millet and rice bagels. When I thaw them in the refrigerator, the tops gets hard and the bottom gets soft soggy when it thaws. How to remedy this

My dad had that problem. Just called him and he said to double bag them in the freezer so as not to cross contaminate scents. Probably because he gets garlic ones sometimes. But to defrost them. Take out one or two at a time and put them in a ziplock bag and let them thaw on the counter. The problem is condensation. If they are in a ziplock bag that solves part of the problem. Also turn them over every five minutes so they thaw more evenly.
