Understanding the auto industry.. Unless the vehicle is in your possession the deal is not finalized.. If you put money down and signed the actual finance contract. Why did you not drive away with the vehicle?

Regardless if the vehicle is in your possession, if you put down a deposit and sign a contract, they should NOT sell that vehicle. I guess by law they can but it is VERY looked down upon.
Lonna, good question. The normal process is that if a customer gives us a deposit, we can hold the vehicle depending on how long is needed. If there is an issue with financing where the bank will not approve the loan, we return any money down or deposits to our customers. It sounds like this was not communicated by us.
