From my experience, $5,000 will get you in on most vehicles being auctioned. You must pay $300 deposit after winning your car up front and the balance due within a few hours after that. If you don't have the balance due by that deadline, you lose out your deposit and the car goes back to auction.
Honestly you should have at least $1000 on hand but the next morning you can pay the rest in cash, but it's an extra $100
