Excellent question! To be frank with you, we've had a sudden surge of Italian related people from Venezuela going to the Consulate in Miami. The consular budget and staff has not been increased. It's under enormous stress and strain. I'd suggest getting an appointment online, arriving on time, and bringing some chocolates.
