First, before getting all excited about getting a visa, go online and find out if you even need a visa for your country of citizenship. If you do need a visa, Tiffany, gather all the documents the website says you need. All of them. Go to the Consulate and usually in two days you'll have your passport stamped, ready to go!
If you have all the necessary documents, then one appointment for submission of passport and docs. Then you can pick up the stamped passport in two days.
If you are going to visit, and have a US passport, you don't need a visa.
