I am on disability and I make $841.00 a month. They base your foodstamp income on what you make and other factors. The factors they take into consideration is the amount of money you pay in rent, electric, water, garbage, sewer, medical bills etc... they will total what your income minus all your deductions and if you are 200% below the poverty level still they will offer you the full amount of $250 a month. For instance I pay $600.00 a month in rent, and electric, and I pay $45.00 a month on my cell phone bill. I have no other income, or property. I own only one very used automobile, and I have no other assets. That is how they base it. I make the max. allotment allowed. I hope this helps you.
