The thermostats are set, but again big spaces take a long time to heat up and the hot air pockets near the roof. Also there is a vent above the projectors to vent the Xenon bulbs and that colder air is competing with the heating.

Probably because a lot of the time the theatres are empty and it is a waste of energy to heat an empty room especially with the volumeof air in a theatre. Would be nice to have seat warmers but that would cost a fortune.

Same with the grocery stores. I think they probably don't heat them in order to save money.
