If i had bought an instrument with insurance during vacation in another state would the insurance carry with me to my home guitar center?

Yes. I have ordered threw one guitar center in Arkansas, and took it to the Columbus store and they fixed it on the insurance program. Other wise I wouldn't have bought it.
