It is about that plus any tolls (no doubt they will add that even if toll free trip) and tip. I landed late sunday and took air train to Jamaica station. $7.75 in ticket machine (cash or card) when you get off. You then get a metro card which you can add more $ onto it to use on metro subway ($2.75 on entry to metro regardless of distance or changes as long as you don't exit) I took the LIRR train from jamaica to Penn which was quicker than metro and this cost just under $5 Don't use hotel transport. They rip you off. I just got back. Not as Christmassy as hoped, but still amazing. Great place but they are out to milk you dry of your $ Read up on using metro before you go. It will help you get around. Ignore colours and look for numbers and letters next to station on map. Also note difference between local and Express trains which skip stations. Have fun and happy christmas in NY....try Trump tower for Christmas feel and it is near Rockafella

I don't know if it's exactly 70, but it's more or less correct, even if you use Uber. If you don't arrive too late you can take the airtrain and then the subway, it takes about 1h30m taking into account the waiting times.
