My 78yr old mom was in the store in Avon,MA a week ago to try and get a new battery in her watch and the person working at the counter used Covid-19 as an excuse that the store will not do it.

They sell them.. but if someone is atrhe counter they can and will do it for you..

I think you have to buy the battery and do it yourself. Unless you go to a jeweler. Hope this helps.
