Most true train stores will buy old trains from people. The difference is the price between stores. What has to be realized also is that they need to make money on the resale also. So keep that in mind. Also model trains are at a low point in value unless you have that needle in the haystack. So good luck and remember the memories and sentimental value is with you the person buying the train has none with them till the purchase is made.
