I personally got tickets ahead, they were emailed. I do not recommend weekends, extremely crowded !!!!
Timed-entry tickets are required. Its usually about 2 days for available space. And for us we make the reservation and still had to wait about 40 min in a very tight line to get the actual ticket.
No but buy ticket showings before hand due to long lines
