You have to have a US government or state issued ID. A ID from any state will work or US passport.
Not true people are fulled with BS. Just take your passport and they will sell it to you.
I don't know what you are talking about with requiring a Californian ID to buy, I had absolutely no problem throughout many places in LA, Vegas, and San Diego using my passport to buy any bud, oil, wax, vape pens, CBD, or THC products. I was even given free extras from some for being a first time buyer or for being from overseas and choosing their dispensary.
