Am I the only one that thinks it was weird that I had to pay cash tonight at 12:28 a.m.? he said they would be down and only accepting cash and not able to give a receipt for between 30 minutes to an hour and a half. Tax evasion or employee scam?

Being an ex manager, 24 hour drive thru have to shut down the system and restart through it's process so it can proceed to the next business day. In that time period they can only accept cash and have to manually calculate your total.

Yes it does seem strange, but one time maybe is the truth. A 2nd time and maybe not.

Tax evasion? Employee theft? Cause somehow he'd have to have the cooks and others in on it and than split a whole $15. Ooh yeah, watch out Oceans 11 franchise!!

I went through the drive-thru just after midnight and they told me that they were only accepting cash because they were updating their system. I am so sick and tired of 24-hour drive-thrus not having a system where they can accept cash and cards all the time. This is such b******* and it's a huge inconvenience for someone like myself who had to get out of my car when it was raining and ask the person that was behind me in their car to back up so I could get the f*** out of the drive-thru so I could go and get cash and buy my food. I know they have the technology where they can accept cards and cash. I know that they can do this they just won't do it because they're too damn cheap. Pisses me the f*** off!

This is 2021 now! Why do they STILL have to shutdown systems to start a new day? Surely they can overcome that some how!
