I once bought sand meat first couple slices were ok then the rest was GRAY on edges ... tried to return it they said it was just because deli person didn't clean cutter between meats ... NOT!! I had to get loud with manager to get money back. I don't but meat anymore at Shaws. Gotta watch frozen stuff and oj, and yogurt ... expiration dates
Just received an email from Daughter. I purchased some Cabot cheese bricks just before Christmas for her. She just me pics of one brick, moldy buckle and expiration date of April 2017. Not happy with This store at all. Produce goes bad in A couple of days. Every time I go in, employees complaint, 1 is just disgusting. Picking nose and then yup. I much prefer to shop elsewhere but sometimes time is a factor. Notice a FEW others aren't happy either. Shawls clean up your act.
I never had any issues
I go to this Shaws. However I have to correct you on one thing. Deli meat is not sold at the meat dept. It is sold at the Deli dept. The meat dept. is very well run and the meat there is great. I have met with the meat manager who is a great person and really runs a tight ship as far as quality of the product he puts out. All of his staff are real butchers and meat cutters of the first class. See the manager of the Deli and they should have told you that from the first. If I was you I would go back to buying meat from the meat dept and talk to the Deli mgr. I am sure then it will be cleared up. There is a huge difference between the meat Dept. and the Deli dept. I hope you understand the difference now. You get potato salad at the Deli, you get steak at the meat dept.
Sometimes I got to go to Stop and Shop to get a good meat package
I mean you should be checking exp.date regardless. Sandwich meat should be kept i upper compartment of fridge..
