The state has rules that must be followed. Every 6 months you see your licensed Medical Marijuana doctor.. At that visit you pay them their fee and you also fill out paperwork required by the state . For Dr Mondello it is $121. You also pay the state $75 to renew the Medical Marijuana card you carry with you.
