I just posted a photo of some knives I think and was wondering if anyone knew what they were? They have blue handles. My mom Lydia used to work there. She recently passed and was going through her stuff. Was also wondering why the handles were short?

Those were her bread and butter! Those knives are oyster chuckers. It’s what mom used to chuck oysters at Lee and ricks. They aren’t normally this short, looks like mom had small hands and she sanded them down for a better grip. Helps her push harder to get in from behind and chuck probably helped have stable hands and grips on it.
