Yes, if you are putting up a shade tent get there early to find space. Grass fills up early especially on weekends and special days.
It's beautiful and very busy . You can take a small grill. The snack bar takes cash only.
Yes , their are shady spots too. The hill as we call it gets the most sun. I recommend getting there before 10
