Yes. We seen a guy catch a gator and release it back and the Rangers just stood there watching. It wss about 3 ft. The swimming area is open to the river water under the bridge. The guy got a minor laceration from it on his arm.

See,..the thing is, that, where theres Lots of People, alligators are usually scared and wont be closeby,...but if an alligator sees a LONELY human, that's when the alligator MIGHT think about swimming towards you for a bite. Or he might not. You should ask the Staff of how many alligator attacks have happened. And I think you might be Happy with the Answer.👍🏽

Yes, the creek that runs from the spring to Wekiva Island has alligators in it. As long as you dont swim in the area designated for kayaking, you should be fine. The spring/swimming area should not have alligators in it but it is connected to the area where their are but the water is so clear that people should see one before it does any harm.

According to the sing that is in entrance, there is the possibillity that a lizard may be present in the area, but before that happens,it would be seen before it reaches the the water area..

Yes, there are plenty of alligator in the basin but there is a large bridge that discourages large gators from entering the swimming area. Basically don't swim outside the posted areas.

My family and I went Canoeing. We were in the spring lake then in the river and no sign of them. We didnt go that deep into the river but a lot of people were coming and going in the river . They still make you sign a waiver to go canoeing that they are not responsible if you are scared by a gator that your canoe or kayak tips over
