The people who work there should not ask questions as to why people buy what they do. I've heard people ask questions to others and its non of their business.

I generally just buy food there. Never had any questions when I bought batteries, flashlight, rope and a spade

While you are right don't forget that proper customer service relies on the employee to try to get to know their local patrons. Most towns like ours in fact oftentimes have folks who just like to be a little old school small town. If you aren't up to something shady, a simple question like what you buying a certain item for shouldn't bother you too much. Unless of course it's an obvious privacy item. Just remember not everyone is out to get you. Sometimes folks are just trying to be friendly.

I have had the same thing asked. What I buy may not be just for me either as I buy for others as well. You are right it's none of their business.
