How is the red tide status up there currently? I was hoping to make a fishing trip up there, but don't want to make the 1hr 30min venture if it's just as bad as it is here in Naples. Please get back to me speedily.

The last I heard the red tide only made it as far north as Sarasota. Bradenton and north is clear, do to the wind change. If you have the time may I recommend Reel Cortez Charters.

The red tide is still there, no fish! We went especially for that reason and the mornings weren't too bad but the evenings were much worse. I'd plan a trip a little further north, at least the skyway area. Hope this helps! Good luck!

How is the red tide now?

9/20/18. Running on reduced staff. You can easily see why nobody on the South Beach only a person or two on the North. Very sad. Water brown. But not as bad as I've seen at Lido Beach. Still some stench if you eat outside.
