Are reservations required for the Mystic Faire? Can someone recommend lodgings for the night before? Not concerned as much with cost as with safety, convenience, location, and amenities.

My parents stayed at the Holiday Inn off of Rosedale Hwy( 58 ) when they visited me here. They liked that hotel. The cottage is a few mins up the fwy.

I agree the Holiday Inn on Truxtun is a good place and a short drive. Calling in advance is your best answer to any events. The people there are helpful and can answer your questiins directly to that event. From time to time they do make changes, so direct answers are best from them.

Yes it's best to contact the Cottage to reserve day that you want or weekend pass

Yes and no. You enter the mystic faire for free and look around and shop. As for readings and anything similar to what you want that pertains to that, yes it's best to make a reservation to save your spot. If you first come first serve, you will have a wait, as the readers there are quite amazing! As for lodging, depends how far from there you want to stay at.
