Do you suppose the shipping containers that bring them across the oceans are air conditioned for plastic forks? Get real. Some heat is tolerable. Days even.
As of this writing, only water bottles with prolonged exposure to sun were shown to cause problems. Plastic tableware is safe to use to stir boiling water and as long as it's cooled off you should not have any issues.
