Why are the walls padded? And are the pads fireproof? The pads look like the same material that my hot pads are made of. It's a really interesting room. Was it a gymnasium? Are the pads there for tumbling or maybe slam-dancing in a mosh pit?

Room is built to be a barrel room. Pads are for sound proofing - which helps when we hold concerts in this space.
