I used to own a lexus 470 and one time I brought my key to dealer for change battery and the lexus tech told me that I could get that same battery elsewhere and replace by myself.

Use the compact key that is attached to your key fob. Take it out and use it to pry apart your key fob gently, it will split into two pieces. You can access the battery and replace it yourself. You can get the batteries at Target, Lowe's, Home Depot, Best Buy or online.
