Valley Hope has been successful for the past 50 years with treating our patients with dignity and respect and part of that is allowing them to leave the facility. We do have rules on this and we are not a lockdown facility. We certainly understand your frustration and would be happy to talk with you about our policy and how we do set up rules around this.
I loved my 30 day stay in Atchison. The attitude you have is key. Being allowed to leave requires guidelines you must follow. You can't just leave whenever you want. Not of you want to come back. Having your cell phone is a privilege. Valley Hope of Atchison knows what they're doing and they are excellent at doing it.
Because if they really want to leave and get drugs they aren’t ready for rehab for one and for two all patients are drug tested on a regular basis and if your levels go up or the suspect drug use you get kicked out immediately.
