There is a playoff between the winner of the Northern Section and the Southern Section. It's a 2 out of 3 game playoff. Great competition and even better baseball.
They also have the short season california winter league for prospects who don't yet have a "home"
They're season runs from June thru July. Past that point many of the players return to their college teams or other semi pro locations that may run longer. As to play offs... there usually a designation of three days/ game at the end of July acting as a playoff. I could wrong though.
