Does the bus make any stops from santa maria ca to el monte ca

There is a Greyhound Bus Depot in El Monte CA and you can make Transfers through by way of Los Angeles to there. There is a lot of waiting between transfer of different buses though...trip takes all day.

Do u need an i.d or passport to go in the bus. Its cuz im buying the ticket online for a friend to come visit.
