Why this place is called queens?

It goes all the way back to the British invasion I believe. Brooklyn is Kings county.

It used to be called Queens Plaza. Not sure when it changed.

Its named Queens place because of it's location in the borough of Queens, New York. I believe it was also built before queens center mall.
