Hey did your mom and sister ever get help im on disability myself with a daughter 15yrs old i need a roomate bad im not able to survive on ssi alone
I'm not 100% sure if the Salvation Army can help as far as a place to stay right now. I used to stay there and for my knowledge you have to be are you able to work and not collecting any type of check. The only other shelter that I know that takes people that are not pregnant or fleeing domestic violence is the Genesis house but family members cannot live together. Try calling the woman Center or maybe the South Brevard Sharing Center sometimes they help with putting people up for a week and a hotel at the River Palm. I wish I were more help but I'm kind of in the same situation with my mom.
211 will give you resources and contact information for programs, but you have to make the calls and find out more. The disabilities may work in their favor, but not a guarantee. Also look into half-way homes and other programs based on their particular disabilities. If you or they have internet access, there may be other resources to look into, not just from 211. I wish you the best of luck and may your family get the blessing they need.
Darrell Gray No my mom and sister are still in the same situation.
