We were on a small airboat ride and they happened to have a baby alligator to hold. Not sure if this is the standard process.

Yes I think this depends upon the timing and boat guide....we were just lucky. Also in FL, this also appears to be hit and miss...
I thought we'd be able to, that's why I picked them instead of the other ones, but none for us. We had our 8 year old kid with us, and he was waiting for that moment, but didn't happen.
