If you can't actually volunteer you can still help out by organizing a "drive" for supplies or food. If you have an occasion coming like a birthday you can set up an Amazon wish list and ask for things for the shelter instead of gifts. All kinds of good things...good luck!
I believe you have to be 18 or over. Perhaps they'd let an 11 year old volunteer with a parent.
