They usually leave them with the apartment office. If there isn't an office you should have wrote the instructions on the paper you fill out for the new keys. Call them.
Apartment mailbox keys are usually given out by the apt. Complex and would depend on their policy. The USPS will not give out a key to anyone unless the persons name is on the box.
