No

Always crowded. Not a good idea.

Audrey Ella Singer | Sep 12, 2020

Definitely NO. There are many people who trek through those woods and it would be far too dangerous.

I would highly not recommend it since it's a very large park & but very accessible parts including the tucked away parts.. and someone could come out of nowhere. If you want a place to shoot bow for practice, I highly recommend around the abandoned parts of the old amusement park at Mt. Tom if you know where that is. I've brought my recurve bow there and was stopped by DCR guys/park guys and I just mentioned that I'm not hunting & just bringing it with me to do some practice shots tucked away deep in the woods. They never stopped me, but maybe someone else would depending on their mood & the day.
