You can get a fast pass for it. They have a fast pass viewing area right in front of the lake just as you enter the world showcase. It's not crowded and you get a really good view of it right in front of you.
You want to have the wind from your back if it is windy. The fireworks are performed relatively low in the air, so the smoke could catch your face if you confront the wind. Some people don't mind the smoke at all, though.
Anywhere around the lake but I personally like the area furthest from the entrance.
We've watched from many locations around the lake. It's a fabulous show and well worth watching. Enjoy!
