Why do the horses look so out of shape? They barely have any muscle on their hind legs, their topline? The ponies look like they've been overeating, huge bellies.. they don't look like their in good shape or happy

I saw happy healthy horses. Some were groomed better than others. I did not see anything that made me concerned about their welfare.

The ponies in the photos I took were miniature horses and the brown and white mini horse was pregnant at the time the photos were taken the other horses were thin because these animals are rescues.

Many of the horses and ponies were rescue animals. The ones we had contact with appeared to be in good spirits.
